Anna Varsity- Tiruchi laboratory construction soon

tiruchi: the construction work of permanent laboratory structure for civil and mechanical departments of anna university – trichy constituent college in kavanoor in ariyalur district will commence in the coming week. started functioning last year from temporary buildings on the premises of ariyalur arts and science college, the engineering college had four programmes: mechanical, civil, electronics & communication engineering, and computer science & engineering, each with 60 students. the union minister for information technology and communications a. raja recently handed over rs. 1 crore to the university towards construction activities. the second year students will be shifted to the permanent building and new faculties for handling second year classes will be appointed soon, vice-chancellor v. ramachandran said. the classes for the first year students will be held in the temporary buildings for a year by when construction of permanent buildings will be completed, the vc said. the minister had promised to mobilize around rs 20 crore for the college.
