CBSE Class 12 results 2025 declared: girls outshine boys
new delhi: the central board of secondary education (cbse) on monday announced the results for the class 12 board examinations 2025, with an overall pass percentage of 88.39 per cent. continuing the trend from previous years, girls outperformed boys by a margin of 5.94 percentage points.according to official data, a total of 17,04,367 students had registered for the examinations, out of which 16,92,794 appeared and 14,96,307 cleared the exams. girls recorded a pass percentage of over 91 per cent, reaffirming their academic dominance.among regions, vijayawada emerged as the top performer with a pass percentage of 99.60 per cent, followed closely by trivandrum (99.32%) and chennai (97.39%).this year's pass percentage marks a slight improvement over 2024, when 87.98 per cent of candidates passed. the examinations were held from february 15 to april 4 across 120 subjects.students can access their digital marksheets via digilocker using valid credentials. the results have also been made available on the official websites — cbse.gov.in, results.cbse.nic.in, and cbseresults.nic.in.as per cbse norms, students must score a minimum of 33 per cent to be declared pass. in cases of marginal shortfall, grace marks may be awarded. cbse has also dispatched results directly to affiliated schools via registered emails for further distribution.
