CERT-In SAMVAAD 2025: National Cybersecurity audit conference begins in TN
mahabalipuram: the indian computer emergency response team (cert-in), in collaboration with skillsda, launched its three-day national annual conference, 'cert-in samvaad 2025', on may 19 at radisson blu resort temple bay, mahabalipuram. the event aims to strengthen india's cybersecurity audit ecosystem, bringing together regulators, empanelled information security auditing organizations, and key stakeholders.inaugurating the event, meity secretary s. krishnan stressed the need for innovation in auditing, capacity building, and risk assessment for emerging technologies. he called for greater collaboration to enhance cyber resilience and ensure robust audit mechanisms.cert-in director general dr. sanjay bahl described the conference as the world's first of its kind dedicated to the cybersecurity auditing community. he outlined cert-in's efforts in establishing a structured framework to bolster india's digital security through rigorous audits and vulnerability assessments.iit-madras director dr. v. kamakoti highlighted the importance of cyber resilience and called for holistic frameworks to safeguard digital infrastructure amid increasing threats. sets executive director dr. n. subramanian flagged risks posed by technologies like ai, 5g/6g, and quantum computing, underscoring the relevance of the conference.tamil nadu it secretary brajendra navnit emphasized the state's initiatives in cybersecurity and the need for comprehensive audits to address evolving risks.the event features over 70 sessions across management and technical tracks, covering audit automation, sbom implementation, ai/ml, and securing next-gen systems. a key panel discussed aligning audits with regulatory expectations.over 300 delegates, including officials from government, industry, and regulatory bodies, are attending.
