new delhi: the on-the-spot mop-up admission round for delhi university undergraduate courses in physical mode will be held on tuesday, with around 7,500 seats still vacant across colleges and programmes, officials said.this round, different from the regular process, will be based on class 12 marks and not cuet scores. registrations ran from 5 pm on september 17 to 11.59 pm on september 19 through the du admission portal.vacant seats will be displayed on the du website. only candidates not yet admitted to any programme can participate. those not registered on the csas(ug)-2025 portal can apply by paying a one-time non-refundable fee of rs 1,000 along with the registration fee.“no representative on behalf of the candidate will be allowed,” the university said, adding that allocation is final with no scope for upgrades or withdrawals. candidates must bring original documents, self-attested copies, reservation proof if applicable, and valid id. admission will be granted only after immediate online payment of fees.an official said, “around 7,000-7,500 seats remain vacant even after the previous mop-up round, and the university is giving another chance to eligible candidates.” candidates are advised to use the delhi metro (yellow line) to reach vishwavidyalaya station, carry essentials, and ensure sufficient funds for fee payment, as failure to pay will lead to cancellation.the university clarified that appearing in the mop-up round does not guarantee admission; final allocation depends on merit, seat availability, and proper documentation.
