Haryanas education system being strengthened, will fully implement new NEP this year: CM

chandigarh: haryana chief minister nayab singh saini on sunday said that to realise prime minister narendra modi's vision of making india a developed nation by 2047, the state is strengthening its education system and aims to fully implement the new national education policy (nep) this year.the state government is committed to making haryana a leading state in education, he said, addressing the 75th foundation year of "saini shikshan sansthan (saini education society)" in rohtak.saini said ten new industrial model townships will be established in the state, providing employment to lakhs of youth. he added that in the past decade, 1.80 lakh youths have secured government jobs on merit.congratulating the institution for its contribution to education, he recalled its beginnings in 1941 with a primary school and its growth guided by the ideals of mahatma jyotiba phule.listing initiatives, the cm said enrolment of all children has been ensured under sarva shiksha abhiyan. digital education, smart classrooms, e-learning, scholarships and safe transport for girl students have been promoted under "beti bachao, beti padhao."he said atal tinkering labs have been set up in all 22 districts, 5 lakh tablets distributed to students of classes 10-12, digital boards installed in 40,000 classrooms and 1,201 ict labs established.haryana has launched a functional literacy and numeracy programme for classes 1-3, implemented the national skills qualification framework in 1,001 schools and established 1,420 government model sanskriti primary schools and 218 government model sanskriti senior secondary schools. under the pm shri scheme, 250 schools have been opened.on the occasion, saini inaugurated the mahatma jyotiba phule shiksha sadan and laid the foundation stone of a new saini public school building.paying tributes to mahatma jyotiba phule and savitribai phule, he said they pioneered social reform and women's education. "following their path, the government is working with the spirit of 'haryana ek, haryanvi ek'," he said.
