HITS signs agreement on Sustainable Development Practices

chennai: hindustan institute of technology and science, padur, hosted the signing ceremony of the letter of intent as the academic partner, between the district rural development agency (drda), govt. of tamil nadu and the city of trier, germany in association with international urban & regional corporation (iurc) and trier university of applied sciences, germany. the association is to evaluate, discuss and ideate some of the feasible sustainable development practices which can be implemented by both the parties. the letter of intent (loi) was signed by rv shajeevana, sub-collector, chengalpattu district; mr. ashok verghese, director, hits; prof. dr. peter koenig, project lead-daad & iurc projects; dr. karl hofmann van-kap-herr, co-lead daad project; dr. panagiotis karamanos, urban development expert iurc; and mrs. elise limbacher, coordinator international relations and sustainability; in the presence of officials of all institutions.
