Kashi Tamil Sangamam 4.0: Learn Tamil with heart for national unity, says PU Vice-Chancellor
puducherry: pondicherry university vice-chancellor p. prakash babu on tuesday urged students to learn tamil “with the heart rather than merely with the tongue and intellect” to foster national unity, while inaugurating a ten-day tamil learning workshop under kashi tamil sangamam 4.0.the “tamil karkalaam” (let's learn tamil) programme was launched at the subramaniya bharathiyar school of tamil language and literature in collaboration with the central institute of classical tamil, chennai. the national initiative of the union ministry of education seeks to promote cultural integration and awareness of tamil heritage among students across india.thirty students along with faculty coordinators from educational institutions in uttar pradesh are participating in the workshop. emphasising multilingualism in education, babu highlighted the age-old spiritual and cultural links between tamil nadu and kashi, noting that stronger north-south cultural bonds would reinforce national integrity.his holiness sri sivagnana balaya swamigal also addressed the gathering, highlighting the richness and simplicity of the tamil language.
