jodhpur: lok sabha speaker om birla on monday emphasized that india is emerging as a global leader in finding solutions to pressing global challenges, driven by the talent and innovation of its youth. speaking at the inauguration of lecture hall complex - ii at the indian institute of technology (iit) jodhpur, birla noted that the country's youth is transforming into job providers rather than job seekers, thereby strengthening the startup ecosystem and national economy.highlighting the dual strengths of modern science and india's spiritual heritage, birla said this unique combination is powering india's rise on the global stage. “by integrating cutting-edge technology with timeless values, india is advancing in a way that is both ethical and sustainable,” he said.applauding iits for their contribution to technical education, birla called on all higher education institutions to become centres of innovation and excellence. “educational spaces must go beyond rote learning to foster creativity, critical thinking, and problem-solving,” he stressed.he also lauded iit jodhpur's achievements in research, defence technology, and sustainable development, crediting its success to visionary leadership and a clear focus on scientific progress. “despite geographical challenges, iit jodhpur has become a beacon of innovation in rajasthan,” he said.as part of the event, the speaker launched the institute's new official website, distributed research initiative grants to promote innovation, and planted a sapling to mark the occasion.birla urged the youth to become active stakeholders in india's journey towards 'viksit bharat', reinforcing the country's commitment to self-reliance and global leadership. “the future belongs to a confident, skilled, and visionary generation - and india's youth is proving to be exactly that,” he added.
