NAAC accords A status to Jammu varsity
jammu: the university of jammu has been re-assessed and re-accredited by the national assessment and accreditation council (naac) as an 'a' grade university for 2003-2008. naac had accredited it earlier in 2001 and awarded four-star status equivalent to b-grade. according to naac report, the university has now obtained a high score of 3.13 out of 4 (78 per cent), director, quality assurance meenakshi kilam said here. the status is in recognition of its establishment of quality management system under iso 9001:2000 certification, good governance, leadership, establishment of centre for quality assurance, creation of a vibrant ambiance to meet knowledge challenges and good progress despite functioning in a sensitive environment and establishment of satellite campuses.
