PALS hosts grand finale of 12th innoWAH competition

chennai: pals, an iit alumni initiative, successfully conducted the grand finale of the 12th edition of innowah, its flagship innovation competition, at iit madras. the event showcased 62 finalist teams from 41 engineering colleges across south india, culminating a year-long journey of innovation and mentorship.this year's theme, "technology driven transformation - viksit 2047," encouraged students to develop innovative solutions. chief guest suresh ramanujam, founder and md, métis, felicitated the winners, lauding their creativity and commitment to entrepreneurship. pals chairperson cn chandrasekaran congratulated participants and thanked partner institutes and iit madras for their support.the competition saw 187 teams from 51 partner institutes participating, with rigorous rounds leading to the finale. the winners in various categories were:economic growth:1st prize: vidyavardhaka college of engineering (glitch guardians)2nd prize: dr. mgr educational & research institute (maximus ai)environmental sustainability:1st prize: kcg college of technology (aquatch)2nd prize: velalar college of engineering technology (vtech innovators)social pro:1st prize: federal institute of science & technology (innovators forge)2nd prize: kcg college of technology (desperado)good governance:1st prize: muthoot institute of technology & science (slytherin)2nd prize: rajalakshmi institution (matrix infinity)pals, supported by iit madras alumni charitable trust, aims to enhance engineering education and entrepreneurship. it collaborates with iits, industry experts, and domain specialists, engaging students and faculty through various initiatives.for details, visit www.palspgm.org.
