chennai: the tamil nadu government m.g.r. film and television training institute has announced admissions to fill vacant seats under the reservation category for its bachelor of visual arts (b.v.a.) degree programmes.aspiring candidates can download the application forms from the official website — www.filminstitute.tn.gov.in— and submit them on or before july 30, the institute said in a release on thursday.the institute, functioning under the directorate of technical education (dote), offers specialised undergraduate training in various disciplines of visual arts including cinematography, direction, editing, sound recording, and animation.founded in 1945, the mgr film and television institute is one of india's oldest government-run film institutes and has produced several renowned technicians and artists in the indian film industry. the b.v.a. course is affiliated to the tamil nadu dr. j. jayalalithaa music and fine arts university.
