TN releases Engineering Admission Rank List; Counselling from July 7

chennai: tamil nadu higher education minister govi chezhiyan on friday released the much-anticipated engineering admission rank list for the academic year 2025-26. the general category counselling is scheduled to commence on july 14 and will continue till august 17, while special category counselling will be held from july 7 to 11.this year, a total of 3,02,374 students registered for admission into engineering programmes offered by 463 colleges affiliated to anna university. of these, 2,49,883 paid the application fee, and 2,26,359 successfully uploaded their required certificates.according to officials, a total of 145 students achieved the maximum cut-off score of 200. minister chezhiyan noted that this year saw an increase of 40,645 applicants compared to the previous year.state topper sahasra from kanchipuram secured the first rank, followed by karthika from namakkal district and amalan ando, took the third spot in the general category.candidates can view their individual rank positions on the official website www.tneaonline.org.other categories counselling will be conducted from august 21 to 23.
