Vahan.ai to expand TN network as state accounts for 6.7% of Indias gig workforce

chennai: vahan.ai, the country's largest ai-driven recruitment platform for blue-collar and gig workers, is expanding its footprint in tamil nadu, which contributes 6.7 per cent to india's gig workforce. nearly half of the state's gig workers are engaged in last-mile delivery and quick-commerce roles, the company said.with more than 300 vahan leaders operating nationwide, vahan.ai plans to double its leadership network in tamil nadu to meet rising demand from platforms such as swiggy, zepto, zomato, blinkit and amazon. currently, 15 vahan leaders are active in the state, collectively placing thousands of workers every month and earning revenues between ₹7 lakh and ₹15 lakh, supported by ai-powered tools and access to national employers.a recent success story from a tier-ii town in south-eastern tamil nadu highlights how a new recruit became one of the top 10 vahan leaders in the southern region within two months, earning over ₹7 lakh a month.founder and ceo madhav krishna said the growth reflects tamil nadu's strong entrepreneurial ecosystem. “ai is amplifying human potential, not replacing it. as we scale up in the state, we aim to connect thousands more to dignified livelihoods,” he said.vahan.ai's multilingual ai recruiter, accessible via whatsapp and phone calls, helps over 40,000 youth secure jobs each month. the company now aims to double placements in tamil nadu and onboard 200 additional vahan leaders across tamil nadu, odisha and west bengal in its next expansion phase.
