VP Radhakrishnan urges graduates to contribute to Viksit Bharat 2047 at JSS AHER convocation
mysuru: vice-president c. p. radhakrishnan on sunday called upon graduates to contribute with knowledge and humility towards the vision of 'viksit bharat 2047' while addressing the 16th convocation ceremony of jss academy of higher education & research (jss aher) in mysuru.emphasising the importance of perseverance and self-belief, he urged students to recognise their unique potential and remain consistent in their pursuit of excellence. quoting swami vivekananda's words — “arise, awake, and stop not till the goal is reached” — he encouraged graduates to stay resilient amid challenges.the vice-president lauded karnataka's cultural heritage and kannada's recognition as a classical language. highlighting the role of the national education policy (nep) 2020, he said it promotes flexibility and interdisciplinary learning, enabling students to adapt to a rapidly changing world.radhakrishnan also cautioned against excessive social media use, advising students to practise self-discipline and balance online engagement with real-world duties. he urged them to respect their parents and adopt positive traits from others.a total of 2,925 students received degrees, diplomas, and fellowships, while 16 gold medallists were felicitated. the event was attended by karnataka governor thaawar chand gehlot and jss aher chancellor jagadguru sri shivarathri deshikendra mahaswamiji, among others.
