launched by the government of india in 2017, swayam is a pioneering online education platform aimed at delivering high-quality education at no cost. significance:designed to cater to lifelong learners, swayam offers a wide range of courses across diverse fields including engineering, science, management, languages, mathematics, anthropology, arts, commerce, and education.curriculum are designed and delivered online by over a thousand faculty members from various institutes including ignou, indian institute of management-bangalore, ncert, etc.'swayam' is divided into 4 sections which include video lecture, downloadable courses, self test mode, online discussion and doubt solving. the learning process is facilitated by the use of advanced technology such as audio-video and multi-media. taught in tamil, bengali, gujarati, hindi, kannada, malayalam, marathi, telugu and translation into other languages.national coordinators:to ensure the delivery of high-quality education, swayam is supported by ten national coordinators:aicte for international studies, nptel for engineering studies, ugc for non-technical postgraduate education, cec for junior education, n.e. for school education. cerd, and nios, ignou for other students, indian institute of management - bengaluru for management courses, nittr for teacher training program, and non-technical courses are classified as ini.free courses: all the lessons in this program are offered free of charge. only those students who want to get certificate can appear for the exam conducted directly at the exam centers with a small fee. there is no educational qualification and age limit to join the courses. however, basic knowledge is expected in some courses.for details: https://swayam.gov.in/
