graduate management admission test (gmat) is an entrance examination for students willing to pursue business management studies at elite educational institutions across the globe.   about gmat: this examination is completely computer based examination that is recognised by most of the countries. every year, over 2 lakh students take up this examination towards the admission of over 7000 courses offered at 2300 educational institutions. the gmat exam consists of four sections: an analytical writing assessment, an integrated reasoning section, a quantitative section, and a verbal section.  the gmac follows ‘section order’ where the candidate is given the freedom to choose the order in which they want to take up the exam.three options will be available at the test center:analytical writing assessment, integrated reasoning, quantitative, verbal (original order)verbal, quantitative, integrated reasoning, analytical writing assessmentquantitative, verbal, integrated reasoning, analytical writing assessmenteligibility: there is no age limit for this exam, however the candidate should have completed under graduation from a recognised institution.     admission process: some educational institutions take in students based on the total score obtained in the examinations.  other institutions admit students based on the performance in one or two sections.  examination format:31 questions in quantitative reasoning/ 62 minutes36 questions verbal reasoning/ 65 minutes12 questions integrated reasoning/ 30 minutes1 essay analytical writing assessment/ 30 minutes  the gmat scores are valid for 5 years. candidates can take up this examination any number of times. the applicant is permitted to take-up this examination 5 times in a year with a minimum of 30 days break in-between the examinations. this exam is completely in english.examinations centres: there are 650 exam centres across the globe.           for details: www.gmac.com
