Anbil Mahesh promises firm action on teachers murder

thanjavur: school education minister anbil mahesh, along with higher education minister sezhian, mla ashokumar, annadurai, and collector priyanka pankajam, visited the family of the slain teacher, ramani, in mallipatnam, thanjavur district, to pay their respects. minister mahesh also visited the school where the incident occurred to speak with teachers.expressing his grief over the shocking murder, minister mahesh described the day as "painful" and condemned the violent act. "while personal issues may exist, it is unacceptable for anyone to commit such a barbaric act inside a school," he stated.speaking to reporters, mahesh urged that no lawyer should defend those who engage in such violence. "people like this must be punished severely, and judges should impose sentences that set an example for society," he added.to help students and teachers cope with the traumatic incident, the government has announced a one-week school closure. counseling services will be provided to both students and teachers starting monday.minister mahesh also assured that steps are being taken to install cctv cameras in schools for enhanced security. he confirmed that the family of the deceased teacher will be provided compensation, and teachers will be guaranteed job security in the wake of this incident.
