India participates in 63rd Commission for Social Development in New York

new delhi: an indian delegation, led by minister of state for women and child development savitri thakur, will attend the 63rd session of the commission for social development (csocd) in new york from february 10-14, 2025.the session will focus on strengthening social cohesion and resilience amid global challenges. on february 11, thakur will present india's statement at the ministerial forum on the priority theme, "strengthening solidarity and social cohesion."india will also engage in discussions on emerging issues such as policies for social resilience in crises and universal rights-based social protection systems. the delegation will highlight india's initiatives to bolster social development and resilience.the csocd session aims to enhance global cooperation in addressing social vulnerabilities. india remains committed to contributing its insights and learning from global best practices to foster inclusive and sustainable social policies.
