TNAU NSS volunteers pedal for pollution awareness

chennai: to mark national pollution control day on december 7, 2024, tamil nadu agricultural university's (tnau) national service scheme (nss) unit at the agricultural engineering college & research institute (aec&ri), coimbatore, organized a cycle rally to promote sustainable transportation.the rally was flagged off by dr. a. raviraj, dean of aec&ri, and er. p.k. sundaramoorthy, ceo of auto pressings and advisor at hunter douglas india. around 400 participants, including nss volunteers, student representatives, and faculty members, pedaled through the campus to advocate for eco-friendly commuting, reduced carbon emissions, and improved air quality.this initiative emphasized the importance of cycling for a healthier lifestyle and reducing reliance on fossil fuels. organized by nss program officers and volunteers, the event highlighted tnau's commitment to environmental preservation and public health.
