Arunachal student found dead in school washroom; police rule out foul play

itanagar: a 19-year-old class 11 student was found dead inside the washroom of st xavier's international school in aalo, west siang district of arunachal pradesh, on sunday, police said.the deceased, identified as tato podo of gapur village in shi-yomi district, was discovered by two hostel students who noticed the washroom door bolted from inside. after breaking it open, they found podo unconscious with a necktie tied around his neck and the other end fastened to the door frame.the school authorities immediately informed police, and a team led by sub-inspector a pangge reached the spot, videographed and photographed the area, and sent the body to aalo general hospital, where doctors declared him brought dead.police said preliminary investigation and cctv footage review indicated no foul play. following a written request from the family, who were satisfied with the findings, the body was released without post-mortem for last rites according to village customs.the final rites will be held at podo's native village in gapur, shi-yomi district, on monday.
