CCRS inks pact with Dravidian University to boost Siddha research, education
chennai: the central council for research in siddha (ccrs), ministry of ayush, has signed a memorandum of understanding (mou) with dravidian university, kuppam, andhra pradesh, to strengthen academic and research collaboration in siddha medicine and allied fields.the mou was signed on september 25 by ccrs director general prof. n.j. muthukumar and dravidian university registrar prof. kiran kumar. senior officials, ccrs delegates and university faculty members were present at the ceremony.key areas of collaboration include translation of siddha literature into dravidian and foreign languages, training in manuscriptology, research in tamil linguistics, documentation of tribal and folklore medicine, and the establishment of a research centre within the university campus.as part of the visit, ccrs officials also toured the central library, medicinal garden and various departments of dravidian university, acknowledging the institution's academic strength and cultural heritage.
