IIT Delhi launches online PG Diploma in Advanced Communication with focus on AI, Quantum Tech
new delhi: the indian institute of technology (iit) delhi has launched an online postgraduate diploma in advanced communication engineering, integrating cutting-edge technologies like artificial intelligence (ai), quantum networking and advanced wireless communications.offered by the bharti school of telecommunication technology and management, the 12-month programme aims to upskill professionals in emerging tech domains. it provides a blend of theoretical and hands-on training in machine learning for network optimisation, secure quantum communication, and next-gen wireless systems such as mimo and software-defined radios (sdrs). a 60-hour capstone project and a campus immersion at iit delhi are also part of the curriculum.“learners will engage with real-world case studies, from quantum-secured networks to ai-driven spectrum optimisation,” said prof. manav r. bhatnagar, programme coordinator. prof. abhishek dixit added that the programme ensures conceptual clarity and practical expertise in secure communications.targeted at graduates in ece, ee, cse, it, data science, mathematics and applied physics, the programme offers iit delhi affiliate alumni status, academic bank of credits access, and career support.with quantum and ai markets expected to surge globally, the initiative addresses the growing demand for skilled talent in 5g/6g, quantum-safe infrastructure, and telecom ai applications.
