MNRE Secretary, CSIR DG Visit CSIR-SERC, CECRI Units in Chennai

chennai: secretary, ministry of new and renewable energy (mnre) santosh kumar sarangi and csir director general and dsir secretary dr. n kalaiselvi on monday visited the csir-structural engineering research centre (csir-serc) and csir-central electrochemical research institute (csir-cecri) unit at the csir madras complex.the visit also saw participation from csir-clri director dr. k j sreeram, csir-cecri director dr. k ramesha and national institute of wind energy dg dr. rajesh katyal.csir-serc director dr. n anandavalli made a presentation on the centre's achievements and proposed r&d initiatives, while principal scientist dr. m keerthana briefed the delegation on multidisciplinary r&d activities in renewable energy. the discussion included advancements in wind energy (offshore and onshore), solar energy (land-based and floating systems) and hydroelectric solutions, along with ongoing research on carbon capture, utilization and storage (ccus).dr. ramesha also detailed csir-cecri's contributions and activities. the dignitaries interacted with scientists from both institutes on future research directions.
