apart from providing knowledge and other livelihood skills, the fundamental 12 years of schooling and the next 3 years of college education should help out to develop good individuals, values, changed attributes, emotional control, self-control, balanced person with good self discipline. but, if this fundamental education proves ineffective and instead develops impulsive individuals, insane person, fickle minded and dissolute person then the entire process needs to be reconsidered, for complete overhauling. the end objective of education is to help us to earn, live peacefully, temperate, balanced both physically and mentally, better-organized at all times and above all the individual's attribute should have gone through a complete change. it should also further facilitate the individual to keep himself tranquil in all circumstances, physically fit and mentally sound. if this purpose cannot be fulfilled then the entire system needs to be scrutinized thoroughly so as to attain the primary objectives.  no doubt that todays education provides good knowledge, but fails to bring out regimented individuals through it. the entire education process should be made more pleasurable, rather than arduous and above all beneficial to life and the community as a whole. in spite of many impediments we (india) have undergone significant growth in various fields, but have failed disastrously to bring out value-based individuals, orderliness and on the whole a peaceful harmonies society.   only, if few changes are carried out in our entire education setup, we, as citizens of india (social beings) can reap rich dividends out of it and subsequently the nation can also benefit and develop. immediately after the 12th standard an army training of 1 to 2 years for all the boys and willing girls must be made mandatory. this training must be made as the permit to all higher studies, driving license, ration card, passport, voters id and many other national documents. it should be made mandatory for all the avenues after school. be it politics, higher education, professional sports, research and even religious studies. without this obligatory training, no indian should be permitted to carry out any sort of efforts. beyond doubt, this compulsory army training would provide a good comprehensive effect if every indian are put into such a system. the training should be similar like the regular training provided for the usual army recruits. on the whole, this training should be made as a platform for various multiple avenues in the country. during the training, the trainees could receive a payment, similar like the regular army recruits. after the completion of one-year training, those willing to serve the army can continue their term and choose more specialised trainings.  india concealed with numerous problems, with the govt. striving to make india 100% literate nation, mandatory army education can prove to be an eventual solution to most of the problems and the source to many projects.   apart from making the person highly disciplined, this training would certainly make them extremely physically fit and thereby providing good health to individuals. subsequently, the average health of indian improves significantly. this initiative would also provide the required human resources for the army on yearly basis and thereby contributing to the shortfall of the human resources in the army. indisputably, this training would facilitate to bring out calm, composed individuals, disciplined individuals, fit and healthy beings, methodical, compliant nature, dutiful individuals. this training would make everyone get to know the sensation of army and the various means handling emergency situations, the use of firearms and many more consequences. this training period should be stipulated to obtain one’s driving license and this time should be made the only means to acquire the indian driving license. acquiring driving license during this training period under the vigilant and austere eyes of army officers, without any sort of compromise would add more value to it. in the entire process the absolute value of many thinks can be made to realize like obtaining license, importance of human life and the dire consequences of claiming a life. their tantrums would be put to real tests through this arduous, disciplined training. such a tedious process to acquire license would definitely bring out good road sense with everyone and the several needless accidents can be definitely avoided. the individual learns to stay with in the stipulated limits following all the rules and regulation, even when not being watched or monitored.  in the recruitment and training process every indian citizen is documented, which becomes a big resource for several procedures undertaken in the country. the indian driving licenses become more meaningful and valuable. as every indian citizen would surely require any of the documents like ration cards, voters id, all sorts of malpractices involved in distribution of such documents could be minimized or rather even abolished. eventually, the objective of 100% basic literacy can be fulfilled, which in turn helps the entire nation to attain a comprehensive development, fulfilling many factors.   most countries that follow this system have witnessed a remarkable success. although, the individual is late by one or two years in acquiring his / her objective compared to our present system, but for sure it would turn out to be extremely valuable for the individual and the nation too. it would definitely shape everyone into robust individuals and healthy nation as well. above all learning to be dutiful gives every individual the humility to respect others.        few months back, general deepak kapoor, chief of army staffs said that it was too alarming, as present youth are not driven towards serving the nation through the armed forces. the simple proposal of 'mandatory army training' - consciption would undoubtedly act as springboard to meet such demands of the nation. some countries that successfully implement this compulsory army service-conscription are austria, belarus, brazil, bulgaria, china, singapore and few more.   it is time that our advisors to the central education ministry look into this initiative more
