TNAU holds training programme on data analysis, R programming
coimbatore: tamil nadu agricultural university (tnau) is conducting a four-day hands-on training programme on “data analysis and visualization with r programming” from july 15 to 18 at the centre for plant molecular biology and biotechnology (cpmb&b) here.organised by the department of plant molecular biology and bioinformatics, the programme has drawn participation from faculty, researchers and students from across india and abroad. delegates include representatives from the department of molecular oncology, king faisal specialist hospital & research centre (riyadh), king institute of preventive medicine (chennai), gojan school of business and technology (chennai), advanta enterprises ltd. (telangana), and periyar university, among others.the event began with an inaugural function on july 15. dr l. arul, professor and head of the department, welcomed the participants and spoke on the growing relevance of r programming in data-driven research. dr k. venkatesan, dean (horticulture), and dr e. koiladevi, head of the department of plant biotechnology, felicitated the gathering and highlighted the critical role of analytical tools in scientific advancement.the programme includes practical sessions designed to enhance participants' proficiency in data visualization and statistical analysis using r, a language widely used in scientific computing and research.the training is part of tnau's ongoing efforts to build capacity in computational biology and bioinformatics.
