UGC invites professors to design new SWAYAM online curriculum

chennai: the university grants commission (ugc) has invited eligible professors to develop a new online curriculum for the swayam platform, which offers free short-term online courses to students across the country.ina release, the ugc said the proposed curriculum will focus on india's infrastructure development under a new initiative titled 'pradhamarin kati shakti'. at present, swayam hosts courses in areas such as artificial intelligence, engineering, mathematics and intellectual property rights.applicants must possess a doctoral degree and have a minimum of five years of teaching experience. professors selected for developing the curriculum will be provided financial assistance, the ugc said.interested faculty members can register and submit their applications on the swayam portal by january 4, 2026, it added.
