UP to fill 7,466 assistant teacher posts; tight security for recruitment exam

lucknow: the uttar pradesh public service commission will conduct the assistant teacher (trained graduate) recruitment examination in december and january to fill 7,466 vacancies across 15 subjects, the state government said on saturday.the government said elaborate arrangements have been put in place to ensure the examination is conducted in a “fair, transparent and deceit-free” manner, adding that any negligence or irregularity will not be tolerated.district magistrates have been directed to personally supervise the arrangements at examination centres. stringent security measures will be enforced, including biometric verification at entry points, frisking, cctv surveillance and continuous monitoring by local intelligence unit (liu) and special task force (stf) teams, with special vigilance in sensitive districts.to maintain confidentiality, a colour and code-based sms system will be used, while sector magistrates will oversee the secure transport of question papers from treasuries to examination centres.all centres will be provided with drinking water, toilets, proper lighting and seating facilities. the government also said over 8.5 lakh government appointments have been made in the state in the last eight years.
