உலக கிரிக்கெட் உலகம் ஒரு சிறந்த அம்பயரை இழந்துள்ளது. அவரின் ஆன்மா சாந்தியடைய அனைத்து கிரிக்கெட் வீரர்களும், கிரிக்கெட் துறை அதிகாரிகளும், கிரிக்கெட் ரசிகர்களும் பிரார்த்தனை செய்வோம்.. ஓம் சாந்தி.
தொழில்நுட்ப வசதிகள் அவ்வளவு சிறப்பாக இல்லாத காலத்தில் முடிவுகளை துல்லியமாக தந்த நேர்த்தியான நடுவர். கிரிக்கெட் விளையாட்டைப் பற்றின அவரது ஆழ்நத அறிவு மற்றும் அனுபவத்தால் அனைவராலும் மதிக்கப்பட்ட அம்பயராக திகழ்ந்தார். அவர் ஆத்மா சாந்தியடைய வேண்டுகிறேன்.

Finest Umpire Cricket has ever produced
RIP Mr.Dickie Bird, one of the finest umpires in the history of cricket. He officiated in so many matches in his Era, in which there were not much renowned umpires, there was not much of technology to back/verify/assist their decision making, yet there were not much controversies. Each umpire had their own style of signalling boundaries, sixers, no balls, wides, byes and leg byes. This gentleman had his unique style.
