Clean UAE Campaign reaches its 5th stations in Fujairah
Under the esteemed patronage of the Ministry of Climate Change and Environmentand in collaboration with Fujairah Natural Resources Corporation, the 23rdsession of the Clean UAE campaign, organised by the Emirates Environmental Group, arrived in its 5th station; the Emirate of Fujairah on December 11th.In an area covering more than 1.5km, a total number of 313 volunteers, wearing specially designed cotton T-shirts and Caps and equipped with cotton gloves, biodegradable garbage bags, came together to collect 223 kilograms of waste. The participants joined actively in the process of segregating the recylcables to be sent to local recycling factories for proper processing.In her opening address, Ms. Habiba Al Mar'ashi, Co-founder and Chairperson of the Emirates Environmental Group, said : 'The Clean UAE campaign is more than just a series of clean-up events—it stands as a symbol of unity, responsibility and hope for a sustainable future. At the Emirates Environmental Group, we take pride in building on the campaign's success year on year to inspire greater environmental awareness as we move ahead. As an accredited organisation of the United Nations Environment Programme and the United Nations Convention to Combat Desertification, we are honoured to make meaningful contributions toward achieving the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).'She added: 'The significance of the Clean UAE campaign lies in driving positive change.
