delhi: union minister dr. jitendra singh emphasized the need for early industry linkages to ensure start-up sustainability during the atal innovation mission (aim) high-level committee meeting at niti aayog. he advocated for a collaborative funding model involving government and industry to enhance accountability and foster innovation.highlighting aim 2.0, dr. singh described it as a transformative step towards strengthening public-private partnerships and integrating industry collaborations. he credited aim 1.0's success to policies introduced post-2014 under prime minister modi's leadership, which created an enabling environment for innovation.the minister proposed a hybrid framework for aim 2.0, preserving its intellectual independence while transitioning into a ministerial structure. he also suggested rating start-ups on key indices like impact and viability to drive meaningful innovation.dr. singh called for inclusivity in innovation by addressing linguistic barriers and urged researchers to achieve global benchmarks, envisioning india as a leader in innovation.
