Education dept officials can issue NOCs to schools
madurai: private school managements have suggested that education department officials acquaint themselves with rules and issue no objection certificates to new schools, instead of the fire service and health departments as a high level of red tapism exists in these two services. the simplification of rules for organising education tours by train and recognition to schools from 6th to 12th standard instead of phased recognition from 6th to 8th standard and then from 8-10 std and so on. matriculation schools association president n. ramachandran said the government should not insist on schools buying land as the cost of lands had increased. he also suggested streamlining new procedures which were brought in every time a new director takes over. matric schools should be given permanent recognition or be asked to follow the same rules as government and aided schools, he said.
