TNATPO hosts futuristic HR code conclave 5.0 at IIT Madras; releases NIRF report on TNs higher education excellence
chennai: the tamil nadu association of training and placement officers (tnatpo®), in collaboration with sbs and talent india 5.0, organised the futuristic hr code conclave 5.0 at the indian institute of technology madras (iit madras) recently, bringing together academic leaders, hr professionals, and industry experts to discuss the evolving landscape of employability and future-ready skills.delivering the keynote address, iit madras director prof v kamakoti said that decoding human potential goes beyond resumes and profiles, emphasising the importance of offering opportunities to rural talent. “collective wisdom thrives through interdependence, not independence,” he said, highlighting that iit madras' cohesive institutional culture has helped it sustain its top position in the national institutional ranking framework (nirf).he added that workforce retention of 60-70% was a strong benchmark for organisational success and urged hr professionals to tap into tier-2 and tier-3 city talent pools. he cited initiatives such as zoho schools and iit madras' bs in data science programme as successful models empowering rural students.the event also saw the release of a special publication titled “the superstar state - nirf needle is on tamil nadu 2025”, launched by prof kamakoti in the presence of dr ganesh krish, conference chair and president of tnatpo and director, b.s. abdur rahman crescent institute of science and technology. the report highlights tamil nadu's leadership in higher education, industry-academia collaboration, and employability outcomes.a key highlight of the conclave was the presentation of tnatpo membership certificates to leading institutions including iit madras, anna university, srm institute of science and technology, vit university, crescent university, saveetha university, sri vishnu institute, and jeppiaar institute of technology, marking a major milestone in building a unified employability network across the state.tnatpo® aims to strengthen the employability ecosystem through academia-industry partnerships, fostering innovation and inclusivity to prepare students for the future of work.
