TNPSC selects over 17,700 candidates ahead of government deadline

chennai: the tamil nadu public service commission (tnpsc) has announced that it has completed the selection of 17,702 candidates for various government departments and public sector undertakings between june 2024 and june 2025 — achieving the recruitment target set by the state government seven months ahead of schedule.injune 2024, the tamil nadu government had informed the legislative assembly that 17,595 vacancies would be filled through tnpsc by january 2026, as part of efforts to expand employment opportunities for youth aspiring for government service.according to tnpsc secretary s. gopala sundara raj, ias, the commission has not only met the target well in advance but is also in the process of filling over 2,500 additional vacancies. examination results for these additional posts have already been declared, and the selection process is currently underway.
