IIITDM Kancheepuram and ERNET India Partner for IoT Research and Innovation

kancheepuram: the indian institute of information technology, design and manufacturing (iiitdm) kancheepuram and the education and research network of india (ernet) have signed a memorandum of understanding (mou) to advance research collaboration. as part of this agreement, a joint research lab dedicated to the "internet of things (iot) functionality validation sandbox" has been inaugurated at iiitdm kancheepuram.the mou was signed by prof. m.v. kartikeyan, director of iiitdm kancheepuram, and sanjeev banzal, director general of ernet india, in the presence of senior faculty, researchers, and ernet officials. banzal also inaugurated the research lab, which will facilitate cutting-edge iot research and innovation.this collaboration is expected to boost research in emerging technologies, enhance industry-academia linkages, and provide students with advanced training opportunities. banzal presented internship offer letters to six iiitdm students, emphasizing plans to extend similar opportunities to students from rural institutes. the initiative aims to strengthen india's innovation ecosystem through joint projects, funding proposals, and access to ernet's technological infrastructure.
