Students in danger due to fragile school buiding
amravati: due to fear of collapse of the school building and injuries to their wards, parents at nandgaon khandeshwar have registered a complaint with district collector against dr zakir hussain of urdu high school. parents have demanded to start this school either in new building or to hand over it to some other society. as per the parents' complaint, the building in which school is running is 100-years-old. construction department also has mentioned this building as dangerous and prone to accident. even after repeated instructions by the administration, anagement and headmaster of dr zakir hussain refused to shift the school to some other building. parents have expressed fear of collapse of the building. parents mentioned to collector dr purushottam bhapkar that in the name of classrooms only small huts have been erected and the school is conducting classes in those huts. after the school is over, cattles and other animals take shelter in these huts as well as those are used for illegal purposes by anti-social elements. the school does not have urinals as well as facilities such as library and laboratory. this building is given to the school on the rent but school administration has not paid rs.8 lakhs rent dues since many years, the parents complained. the parents have demanded the district administration to shift the school to some safer place and provide students all educational facilities
