TN govt invites applications from startups for Rs 15 lakh support equity-linked grant fund

chennai: the tamil nadu government's nodal agency startuptn on friday announced the launch of tanseed 8.0, the eighth edition of the tamil nadu startup seed fund, and invited applications from startups to avail equity-linked grant support of up to rs 15 lakh.applications will be accepted from december 6 to december 20, according to an official release. under the scheme, startups in green technology, rural impact, and women-led categories can receive up to rs 15 lakh, while startups in other sectors are eligible for up to rs 10 lakh.since its inception in 2021, tanseed has sanctioned support to 169 startups, aiming to bridge the early-stage funding gap. startuptn will take a 3 per cent support stake in beneficiary startups and provide a one-year accelerator programme, which includes mentorship, priority access to networking events, and opportunities to participate in national and international startup delegations.the fund, revamped from its fifth edition onwards as a support equity-linked grant, can be used for prototype development, building market-ready products, or small-scale pilot production. eligible applicants must be registered in tamil nadu, enrolled with startuptn, and recognised by the department for promotion of industry and internal trade (dpiit), government of india.
