Sir, I agree your views partially.. If we fix solar panels on the roof top of the normal trains and metro trains then this panels weight will be additional load on the trains so there will not be no beneficial.. ie. Power generation will be used only to pull the additional weight of the solar panels.. However static establishments we can use solar panels for power generation... If the solar panel is succeeded then we can install proximity sensor power can be taken partially from solar power itself inbetween by which we can monitor the train movements as well as movement of man, other livings in non man crossings also and can avoid collision...

1 Due to dynamic movement of the vehicle with lot of vibrations this is not correct, there will be lot of vibrations 2 This may not give the exact power what is needed by train or bus so it is not recommended

There is a huge hazard that will invite accident in railway track. There is possibility for the solar panel maintenance person to get hit by train. Railway track shouldnt be used for other purposes.
