Eye test for school students from July 14

krishnagiri: eye test for all the school students of the district will be conducted under the chief minister’s ‘pallichirar kannoli kappom thittam’ from july 14.inthis regard, the collector v.k. shanmugam conducted a consultation meeting on thursday. around 4,527 students of standard vi to viii from 511 schools will undergo eye test in the scheduled days.  as a preface to this scheme, around 453 teachers would be trained to check vision by the block medical officers. the trained teachers would check the students after they go back to school. students with eye defects would be provided spectacles before september 15, the collector said. the other officials who attended the meeting are dr. v. devarasu, joint director (medical services), dr. a. ganesan, deputy director (medical services), m. baskaran, chief education officer.
