VELS HR Conclave Fosters Industry-Academia Synergy

chennai: vels institute of science, technology and advanced studies (vistas) hosted its hr conclave 2025 on the theme “campus to corporate: preparing the next generation workforce.” the event brought together over 180 hr professionals, industry experts, faculty, and students to strengthen industry-academia ties.inaugurated by dr. preethaa ganesh, vice president of vels group, the conclave featured a key panel discussion on skill development moderated by zoho's charles godwin. hr leaders from tcs, hcl guvi, renault nissan, and others emphasized ai, automation, and data-driven skills for future employability.panelists introduced the 'vibe' concept — vision, integrity, belief, execution — as a model to bridge the campus-corporate divide.the conclave led to 10 mous for placements and training, and highlighted an international tie-up with the penang government. over 100 vistas students have been placed in top mncs through the university's focused training programs.
